Basic skills you need

Because even little things matter a lot

Skills you need to win in sprints and keirins include throws, rapid accelerations, the ability to ride the track while looking around, the ability to ride fast in the sprinters lane without deviating from the lane and so on.  Every little thing matters in sprinting. The throw is vital, here's a shot from a finish line camera at a recent state championship sprint final.  the throwAs you can see, it's a very close finish.  Each of the riders here has thrown and the finish is a line call, very very close.  When races are this close, every little bit matters.
