Flying 200 target cadence selection

How to work out your target cadence

This is a rough test for establishing a target peak cadence for flying 200's.

Ride a flying 50 on a smallish gear - for seniors 82" or 84" or thereabouts - it's not critical as long as it's a small gear but not silly-small.

Record the peak cadence you hit.  Subtract 10rpm

This is your initial Flying 200 target cadence. It's a bit arbitrary, but it is a good starting point.
